DELIVERING UPGRADES FOR GLADSTONE PARK BOWLING CLUB

A re-elected Albanese Labor Government would put $1 million towards a new  synthetic green and shade sails for Gladstone Park Bowling Club.

This election commitment would allow bowlers to play year-round and provide sun  protection for both players and spectators.

This announcement is in addition to a separate $1.2 million election commitment to  redevelop the Cooper Street site for the Essendon and Buckley Park Bowls Clubs to  create a new community hub.

Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with  Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.

Quotes attributable to Jo Briskey, Labor Candidate for Maribyrnong:

“The Gladstone Park Bowling Club is already a great spot for bowlers of all skill  levels to enjoy and this announcement will make it even better.

“This announcement is all about improving the playing experience for our local  bowlers.

“Labor is committed to building up our community and supporting our local bowls  clubs.”
