A life of helping working people

I’ve dedicated my life to helping people—because I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.

Before becoming the Member for Maribyrnong, I spent years fighting for better outcomes for working families. As CEO of The Parenthood, the peak national advocacy body for Australian parents, I led campaigns to improve access to affordable, high-quality early learning and care, parental leave, and support services.

I’m also a qualified psychologist, and I understand how vital it is that people can access healthcare and the services that support their wellbeing and security—especially during uncertain times.

As a working mum raising two young girls, Gweny and Margot, with my husband Ravi, I know firsthand the challenges that many families in our community are facing. That’s what drives me every day in this role—to listen, to act, and to make life better for local families.

Delivering for Maribyrnong

Our community is diverse, vibrant, and full of potential—but I know many locals are doing it tough with the rising cost of living and pressure on services. That’s why I’ve hit the ground running as your local MP—fighting for real support and real outcomes, including:

  • Greater access to affordable, high-quality early learning

  • Upgrades to local schools, parks, and community facilities

  • Funding to improve roads, transport and safety across the west

  • Stronger healthcare and aged care services for our growing region

I’m proud to be part of a government that’s delivering for working people—and I’ll keep making sure Maribyrnong gets its fair share.

My Commitment to Maribyrnong

I’m here because I believe in the power of good government to make life better.

I know how much good government can achieve when it listens and acts with compassion and purpose. That’s why I’ll continue fighting for a fairer and stronger future—where every person has access to the services and support they need, and no one is left behind.

From housing and healthcare to early education and family support, I’m here to deliver real results that make a difference in people’s lives.

Together, we can continue to make our community better.
